About Us

CyanoCapture is an award-winning startup founded in Jan 2021 and based at the University of Oxford harnessing GM cyanobacteria to provide affordable industrial-scale carbon capture. Our breakthrough technology enables a 750m x 600m photobioreactor area to capture 100,000 tonnes CO2/year.

We are on track to be the first company to bring the cost of carbon capture below the
€50/ tonne mark.
